About the Cylient
Cyient was founded as Infotech Enterprises Ltd. in 1991 in Hyderabad by B.V.R. Mohan Reddy. In 1995 the company received its first ISO 9002 certification from BVQi London for its conversion services. Infotech company started as a limited liability company to provide engineering services to the global market. He faced strong opposition to the concept of engineering outsourcing but soon found opportunities in the GIS space. Cyient went public in 1997, had a stock IPO at ₹20/- per share, and is listed on all major stock exchanges in India. [citation needed] Around 1999, he signed a landmark agreement to provide US$5.5 million of GIS conversion and mapping consulting services to Analytical Surveys, Inc. based in the US. That same year, the company acquired Cartographic Sciences from Analytical Surveys, Inc. In June 1999 the company acquired Dataview Solutions Limited, a UK-based GIS software company
