Eligibility Criteria

  • Knowledge of performing desktop support for DELL and HP products.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10 and Microsoft Office 2016/365.
  • CompTIA A+ Certification (IT Technician) in the above platforms will be an advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related IT field is an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of problem-solving processes and methodologies.

Roles and Responsibility

  • Provide first-level desktop support, especially for DHL staff in Chennai IT Services.
  • Handle incidents and standard request tickets and resolve them according to SLAs.
  • Tasks include installation and upgrade.
  • Ensure the team meets SLA for standard incidents and requests.
  • Ensure service calls are handled and resolved promptly.
  • Providing first-rate desktop support, especially for IT services in Chennai.
  • Diagnose and repair HP/Dell notebook/desktop hardware problems and contact your Hewlett Packard or Dell supplier for replacement of new hardware components if defects are found.
  • Perform MS Windows 10 installation and troubleshooting, desktop problems, MS Office 20160/Office365.
  • Ensure the team meets SLA for standard incidents and requests.
  • Ensure service calls are handled and resolved promptly.
  • Offer negotiated SLA and high availability.

  • Must have team spirit; promotes openness.
  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
  • May require participation in a 24 x 7 on-call rotation.
  • Good communication skills and ability to communicate with people from different cultures and backgrounds.
  • Strong understanding of customer centricity – to earn customer respect by clearly demonstrating that customer needs are a high priority and responding positively to their feedback.
  • Good at taking initiative – take action frequently and anticipates opportunities in a defined area.
  • Good attitude and responsive behavior.
  • Preferably with professional experience in an international and multicultural environment.
  • CompTIA A+ Certification (IT Technician) in the above platforms will be an advantage.
