About the PM Internship Scheme 2024

There is a link on the website for partner companies to sign up for the internship program. Soon, the candidates’ portal will be accessible.

Through this 12-month internship program, young people will be exposed to a variety of real-world corporate settings and career paths. One crore candidates would have access to internships in the top 500 organizations within five years. The centre aims to offer 1.25 lakh internship opportunities in leading industries during the fiscal year 2024–2025.

Roles and Responsibilities

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who want to apply for the internship scheme should have passed High School, Higher Secondary School, possess a certificate from an ITI, hold a diploma from a Polytechnic Institute, or are graduates with degrees such as BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BCA, BBA, B.Pharma, etc. The age limit of the candidate should be between 21 to 24 years as of the last date for submission of the application.

The candidate should be an Indian nationalist and should not be employed full-time and should not be engaged in full-time education. Candidates enrolled in online/ distance learning programmes are eligible to apply.

PM Internship Scheme: Dates

Recently unveiled in the Union Budget, the internship program would give fresh graduates the opportunity to gain experience in a range of real-world fields. Through a special internship webpage, individuals will be able to apply directly for the positions starting on October 3. On October 12, companies will post internship openings, and applicants can start submitting their applications.

Benefits of the PM Internship

The central government is about to start the PM Internship program for youth. The youngsters will greatly benefit from this new scheme.

The internship program offers valuable real-world work experience by allowing participants to spend six months in an internship.
Businesses can collaborate with educational institutions or their supply chain partners to enhance the internship experience.
The program is part of a larger initiative aimed at training over one crore young people in India with the necessary skills over the next five years.

The internship program is set to launch from October 3rd. The youth will be able to secure internship opportunities in companies through this internship scheme.

PM Internship: Stipend

Candidates will get ₹5000/- as a monthly assistant for the entire duration of 12 months of the internship. Out of the total amount, the company will pay ₹500/- to each intern from the Company’s CSR funds, and the government will pay ₹4500/-.

Click on the register link, and a new page will open.
Fill the registration details and click on submit.
Based on the information provided by the candidates, a resume will be generated by the portal.
Apply for upto 5 internship opportunities based on preferences- location, sector, functional role and qualifications.
Once done, click on submit and download the confirmation page.
